Going to Georgia

Hi there. Yes, it was busy time in Portugal and since then indeed. We met Kofi Annan in Lisbon as you may know. And now it turned out that I will be traveling with somebody to Georgia once more. Hopefully will do some posts from there. Roody

Going to Lisbon

Today I left Latvia again for some trip. As it was very cold last weekend and I experienced 1st snow I decided to join some people going to Portugal. So today I went with Darina from Riga to Slovakia and will fly to Lisbon on Tuesday to the European Development Days where GLEN will be represented in the specific exhibition with a separate stand!

Seminar in Latvia

Here some news... There was a nice GLEN seminar in Latvian country side last weekend about how to moderate and facilitate global education activities. And some people from GLEISHA were present there including Julia (Germany) who seems to me now one of the last participants still to go on with her project. She will depart to Vietnam in the middle of November. Julia promissed to share address of her web-blog soon!

Estonian blogging

About blogging... yeah, one thing I got right about Estonian people - they aren't too slow in blogging... check Arvo's blog - 27 posts in less than one month with photos and videos - absolute record among GLEN Asia 2007 participants!

Kadri isn't bad as well - many posts mostly in Estonia. She also recently made good overview about common Latvian jokes about Estonians in Estonian language :)

We climbed high

Hallo!
So we had very great GLEN Georgia meeting in Georgia. Last weekend we all met in Kazbegi and on Saturday climbed up to 3800 meters to the Meteo station just very near the Kazbek mountain.
In the photo you can see (from the left): David, Janis, Elina, Kaspars (from Latvia), Sarah, Jugas (from Lithuania), Christina, Mindaugas, Justs and then in the bottom line - Kadri, Roody (me) and Lina. Danute went just half way and then left back because she didn't had proper shoes.
